1-Liter Amber Lithographed Seltzer Bottle

The Lithographed Collection 1 Liter Amber

Size & Dimensions: 12 inches x 4.5 inches

These 1-liter lithographed seltzer bottles belong to the oldest generation of bottles in our collection. They share the same height as our ¾-liter lithographed bottles, but have a slightly wider, fuller silhouette.

They also carry a story you can see. Before *soderías* began engraving their names into the glass, they lithographed them onto the surface. But because bottles were returned and refilled again and again, rival *soderías* found it all too easy to remove a competitor's name and print their own. The disputes eventually led *soderías* to switch to engraving the glass.

These bottles are survivors of that earlier era, and their surviving printed lettering is part of what makes them so rare.

Each siphon is hand-restored in our workshop by the same family of restorers we've worked with for over 30 years. Every bottle is hand-dipped, giving it its distinctive, one-of-a-kind color.

The complete Lithographed Collection includes 8 one-liter bottles: blue, amber, yellow, apple green, green, red, violet, and clear.
