Vintage Argentine Seltzer Bottle, Metal Classic, 1 Liter

Armor for a bottle.

These seltzer bottles pair vintage glass with a perforated metal shell, built to survive daily rounds of delivery and return while protecting the bottle inside. The glass predates its casing, which makes the true age of each piece impossible to pin down.

We restore them to keep what time added: the industrial patina of the metal, the engraved soda-house details, the glimpses of colored glass showing through the shell. Bottles from this collection stand behind the bar at The Distillery, Hilton London Bankside.
